GREAT!!!

Very cool exercises, ladies! I do deadlifts already, but the oblique exercise I've never done and will definitely try. Looks difficult and challenging, but must have great results, I'm sure! Thanks beautiful ladies!!! xoxo

So toes inwards would focus more on, the hips? I need to take some kinesiology (is that the right word?) classes.

I was always taught to keep your legs straight but just before lock-out when doing Deadlift, is this wrong? Or does it just focus more on other muscles? It just looks like Mona has exaggeratedly bent knees. (then again, I dont really know what I look like from the side or back either when im doing SLDLs).

I had to get on the floor and try those side obliques as soon as i started typing this comment, wow... it took all of 8 slow quality repetitions to really feel a deep contraction and stimulation of my obliques.

Im constantly looking for new ab/oblique exercises because it seems to be the one body part that I get stale with quick.

Thanks Mona and Ves!!

toes inward focuses outer hips (outer quads, hams) depending on exercise. feet out focuses on inner. This is because if a muscle is in a stretched position, you're going to work it more, or rather to say, if a muscle is shorten but not being stretched, it will be used less. my anaology is a shoe lace. if you have the shoe lace just laying there all curvy, there'sn not much tension, but if you stretch the shoe lace, there is tension. so if your legs are in, then your inner muscles are "shortened" and not contracted much like a limp shoe lace, and the outer muscles are actually being lengthened a little much like pulling on a shoe lace.

hope that helps.
also stevers, you're correct about the straight before lockout. Ves does mention this if you caught it.. she says "Soft legs" or something to that effect. the reason mona's legs are being bent a little while she decends, is bedcasue of center of gravity. she has to bend at the hips in order to both keep the weight from making her fall forward, as well as in order to work the hamstrings more effectively instead of using a lot of power form the lower back & (Hip ext.) core muscles.

thx mona & vesela!
