How Funny i found this video today i just had to ex plane this to one of my clients that when you are getting up and down from a bench press not to just dump the weight while lying down on the bench to the side i told them that they are setting themselves up for injury i told them to do just what you are saying in the video Thank You

Thanks for speaking out on this. I'm 100% behind any and all effort that helps educate others on back safety and injury prevention.

Great video!
This is one of those situations where, if you're a personal trainer, and someone asks you, "is this wrong?" and you show them what you're performing Clark, a lot of them would probably say yes and elaborate. But! at the same time, when just watching a client perform the exercise (or doing it themselves) they dont think twice about the form being incorrect!
Something else that might have a very important role is how to sleep?? The proper position to lie in bed with, so you avoid injuries. I know some nights I'll sleep a certain way and wake up in a lot of back pain. This usually occurs when I sleep face-down.

nice!
something so simple people over look it!!!
i preach always, ALWAYS keeping your abs/core tight and activated because it helps prevent back injury.
this is a perfect example of something little that over time can easily mess up your back. especially big dudes lifting like 100s. idk why you would first of all let that 100 come off your chest and RIP your shoulder down to the ground after you fail on a set of chest presses, but secondly, why you would bend over and heave them up your next set.
nice acting. i was worried for a minute :/

Love it Clark. Not sure you're "bad back" would win an oscar however... LOL. I'm kidding, you almost had me there.
On a serious note though, I think plenty of us are guilty of poor technique when picking up the weight before beginning any dumbell exercise.
You made a fantastic point. And one that many over look.
great information...
did he REALLY hurt his back? or was he acting..LOL
