A Little About Me
I am an NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Performance Enhancement Specialist with an MS in Exercise Science. I am also a 200 Hr Certified Yoga Instructor with training from the world renowned Yogaworks. I believe that exercise is a healing tool for the mind and body that allows for self expression, stress relief and balance.

When I Started Working Out
I started working out very young, if you call running around the house ("like a maniac" as my mom would say) when I was a toddler working out...well, I was burning a lot of calories. So I guess that counts right :)How I Started
Drill team, gymnastics, track and field and then I graduated to fitness videos.... As I got older (and busier) my time for working out became increasingly shorter so videos were the key. Every month I'd get a new set, I eventually started using an Xbox video game that centered around working out.Why I Love It

The well chisled male six pack is a work of art. Kudos to those that have one as you are making the world a beautiful place. The male gluteus maximus is also a prize but one cannot forget about the bicep (or maybe the whole arm) but legs are also great and even the back...... Okay, fine I'll stop because believe me I can go on all day, its so hard to pick a single body part.

Exercises
Lunges, Sun Salutations (especially the Chatarangha or "tricep push up" as its known on the gym floor is an amazing feat of strength and grace can you calm your breath while holding the pose), Dynamic Warrior 3 (or a dynamic/repetitive 1 legged deadlift aka stork stance on the gym floor), and hanging leg lifts for abs (these cut/define my abs like no other).

Please Excuse The Absence, I was swallowed by a whale

It has been so long since I have blogged and I have missed you all so much. You see my friends, for the past few months I was in the mouth of a whale. This whale was the beginning of a new stage in my fitness career. It was exciting, it was rewarding but it captured all of my attention. Now I'm coming up for air.
