A Little About Me
I am a certified personal trainer through Anytime Fitness, and have been personal training now for about 5 years. I became a personal trainer in order to help people acheive a more fulfilling life, and to be able to teach them the things they need to keep seeing results. I also have a B.A. in history from Park College in Missouri, and was a member of the men's track team as a shot putter. I recently started running half-marathons, 5-k's, and occasionally a sprint tri-athlon. My biggest accomplishment has been riding in a 150 mile bike ride for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society during the summer. Other than that I just enjoy living life to its fullest potential.
When I Started Working Out
When I was 15 years old.How I Started
With an old weight set in the garage, that I bought for $25 from a friends dad.Why I Love It
Because it allows me to be at peace, but more importantly to improve myself everyday. How I Stay Motivated
Disliking the way I feel if I don't workout, and never wanting to be the fat kid again. My Worst Injury
Torn cartilage in my left knee, caused from a slow pitch softball game.
I Would Love To Meet
I would love to meet Arnold Schwarzenegger, it was because of his book that I fell in love with working out. Then if he were still alive today Steve Prefontaine, for his ability to endure more pain than anyone else on a track. Both of these men have inspired me to continue to improve myself physically, so that the rest of my life can follow along. I mean there are a lot of people that I would really like to meet, that have inspired me along my journey, but how does one meet them all in a single lifetime. There is one place that I would like to go and meet both the athletes they sponsor; as well as, the people behind the products at BSN headquarters. They just seem so full of life and really make a great product. Then of course there would be Mark Verstegan, who helped me understand more about training clients, than just the way we are conditioned to train them.
Goals
Main Goal
To continue to improve my body in some manner every day.Short Term Goal
Complete 4 half marathons, before going back to just 5-k's.Long Term Goal
Still working on this one. However, I would have to say that my long term goal personally would have to be to someday work with Athlete's everyday. Also, to finally have six-pack abs again.Bodyfat Goal
To finally hit 10%.Weight Goal
To hit 195 lbs. by December.Favorites
Bodyparts (Opposite Sex)
Legs
Glutes
Abs
Arms
Just about everything on the female body, the top four are what catches my attention though.Bodyparts (Yours)
My legs have to be the best part of me right now, but still working on bringing the rest up to par.
Exercises
Goblet Squats are my favorite for legs besides leg presses.
DB Curls for Biceps, and skull crushers for triceps.
Arnold presses for shoulders.
Bench Press for chest to create size, but cable flyes for the definition.
I would like pull-ups more if I could do more of them; otherwise, it would have to be lat pulldowns for the back. Followed closely by pullovers to open everything up.Healthy Foods
I try to eat a lot of Chicken Breasts, Tuna or Salmon, whole grain pasta's and breads, and plenty of fruits and vegetables. Recently, started to eat oatmeal as something more than just a cookie.

News from this weekends 1/2 Marathon:
Posted September 22nd, 2008 by muscleman742001Well the day has come and gone just like that. The day started off great you could not have asked for better weather for the race, not to mention all the support from both supporters and other competitors. My first mile started off a little reserved as I was sticking with one of my PT clients, then I would shortly start to pull away to run my race pace for the remainder. Everything was going good until about mile 9 when I got a headache, so I had packet of sports beans then, and chased it down with some powerbar sports drink.
