I feel empowered... People may think I'm very confident on the exterior, but underneath it all I'm shy and somewhat 'unsure' of myself. With all the many things in life that is beyond our control, your health & the ability to transform your body is something you can control. Knock on wood...I haven't been injured yet. In 2004, in the midst of switching jobs & getting ready for a competition, I had a pinched nerve between my right trap and neck. I thought I had pulled something, couldn't turn my head w/out turning my whole body -which SUCKED when I drove. Saw an acupunturist and it turns out that it was a result of stress that I held, literally on my shoulders. (does that count?)
I Would Love To Meet
Ellen DeGeneres :) She just seems SO cool. I love to laugh and she has a wonderful sense of humor. And Chelsea Handler (of the late night show "Chelsea Lately") People that can make me laugh out loud are people I enjoy surrounding myself with.
Goals
Main Goal
I WANT TO BE THE NEXT "KIANA TOM" (minus the breast implants and a much bigger smile) LOL Seriously, I want to be a recognizable personality in the Fitness Industry and eventually become a life coach.Short Term Goal
Earn my pro-card in a bodybuilding organization, it probably won't happen in the NPC so I will pursue this dream in the Natural Bodybuilding Organizations and hope to achieve this goal with them :)Long Term Goal
Become a good mother...One day. I would LOVE to be a Life Coach and make an ever lasting positive difference in the lives of people I meet. Always stay positive. Find the good in everything. And laugh out loud EVERY day will be a goal I would like to meet till the day I die.Bodyfat Goal

Bodyparts (Opposite Sex)
I've always had a complex about having 'big' legs growing up. Every guy I dated, aside from the obvious of what they look like and if they have ALL their teeth - I always looked at their legs. Having bigger legs than your man can give a girl a complex. Specifically, I look at their calves. Personally, nothing turns me off more than a guy that all upper body and is rockin' bird legs. But if he's REALLY, REALLY funny...I may let it slide! :)
Bodyparts (Yours)
Shoulders & Abs. And the ONLY bodypart I don't train - Calves. That was a genetic gift from my dad :)
Exercises
Any and all shoulder exercises....Side lat raises, Front raises, Shoulder Presses - anything to round out my shoulders (I'm simple)
Healthy Foods
Natural Peanut Butter - I can eat a frickin' jar all by my lonesome. Anything blueberry... I have even created my own Smoothie called the "Monalicious Mixxx" - Soy milk, oodles & oodles of blueberries, banana, granola, 3 seconds of honey and ice. I don't drink it on my off season, but "good LAWD" it's the BOMB!
Not So Healthy Foods
PIZZA! Ben & Jerry's HALF-BAKED Ice Cream. At ColdStone I've made my own concoction, the MONALICIOUS MIXXX: Cheesecake Ice Cream, Graham Crackers, Strawberries and Almonds. L&L Hawaiian BBQ: Chicken Katsu w/extra brown gravy and fried egg (over-hard). Red Robin's - Whiskey River Chicken Burger w/extra seasoned salt on the steak fries. Carne Asada burritos from the hole in the wall taqueria - It has to be SUPER (with extra sour cream, cheese and avocado) But I do my best to keep it within moderation :)

Inspiring our Youth to become Physically Fit while Helping our Community
Posted April 24th, 2009 by Mona Liza ReyesTo say that this weekend's workshops with Crazy Legs of Rock Steady Crew was an absolute success is an understatement. For the FREE Youth Workshop, close to 100 kids and even more parents came out to learn the art of bboying from the Living Legend himself.
