The Human Race 10k
Posted July 19th, 2008 by maui_builtToday, I read Bonnie Pfiester's latest article, "Working strengths, Neglecting Weaknesses." For most of you here on MFT, this 10k race is a breeze. For me, it is my weakness. I mean, my cardio is not that bad. I can sprint 200 meters, do suicides on the basketball court, run the length of a football field, and swim far out enough to catch a wave all day, but to run a 10k seems impossible for me. For one thing, I have minimal to no cartilage in my knees anymore from injuries. Secondly, I just never have been an endurance type of runner.
