Yeah, that makes sense. I primarily do compound movements for the major muscle groups. So when I do tris/bis on the same day as chest/back, I keep total reps to somewhere around 80. As for calves, I have been keeping them higher toward 100 reps. If you think I should change up the push/pull split to mix in push/pull exercises on the same day, let me know...I'm all about it! Hey Magnus, quick questions (hopefully!). I'm doing your periodization routine (I'm about to begin Hyper/Strength block in a couple days). What I'm wondering is how you count reps for bis/tris/calves toward the total of a muscle group. For example; chest and tri day - i do between 100-120 reps on chest, how many reps should i be doing for tris during the same workout? Is it best to split the routine in such a way that accessory muscle groups (tri/bi/calf) aren't exercised during the same workout as the bigger group (chest/back/legs)? I hope that makes sense....
