Hey There MFT World. I'm Gary, CEO of Fitness and Sports Network (FAS-NET). You probably know my business partner a lot better, Clark Bartram. You may also know our biggest production, the fitness model event series.
On a personal note, I'm a former personal trainer, group fitness instructor, and lecturer. I was the creator of the Latin Rhythms Group Fitness Class at UCLA (1998) and Fit Consultant for the Long Beach State Women's Volleyball program in 98-99. I used to train clients, teach/create dance choreography, and lectured at places such as UCLA and Northeastern University (Boston, Mass). Went back to school and became a specialist in manual therapy techniques. However, it's an ugly truth, fat "fitness professionals" don't get too many clients. Long story short, I got upset with the industry and walked away. I left my workout habits with it.
Now being easily 70lbs heavier, I'm looking to get re-energized and intergrate myself back into the industry. Being around guys like Clark and the guys much older than I at the formerly branded America's Fittest Model events have inspired me to get back into the rhythm!
