A Little About Me
I am going to try this for about 30 days, starting in November; I will need your help! (Unless you convince me this a bad idea, lol)

I am on a mad dash to lose as much chub by mid-January as possible. This is a personal goal and I welcome any and all feedback, secrets or tricks that have worked for you.
____________________________I tend to stay away from using 'Curious George' since my family has bought me stuff with that monkey on it my whole life even though I don't particularly care for it, lol. In this case it fit however and I accept the rather apt naming convention.
I'm just starting to get back into the swing of things after several years of not being fitness minded. Life is looking pretty good though. Money is usually tight, but I love my job, I'm starting my second year of a PhD, I have a great apartment and the missing piece is to be in awesome shape; I'm hoping to find that through all of you. I'm also starting my own business, so we'll see how that goes too.
I have been in decent shape before, did a full Ironman Triathlon in November of 2004, but have been very focused on a new job the past few years and fell our of my routine. Chub comes back fast, lol. I did a half-Ironman in RI this past July and it was fun, but I tend to endure these events rather than train for them. I am hoping to find a few mentors to work with and create a realistic diet for myself. Compliance is always an issue for me; no will power on some things and amazingly headstrong about others.
All and all, I'm a regular guy, like to watch the Steelers, have a beer, and just hang out; looking for some friends along the same lines. Of course, I suspect that beer has to go if i am to make progress, eh!? Hit me up any time.

Main Goal
To evaluate my current lifestyle and develop some positive routines that will impact my long term health, whether weight, muscle or general health.Short Term Goal
To lose weight for now. I am 28 and weigh nearly 250 lbs. I always told that I don’t look like I weigh that much, and I know the number isn’t everything, but I do need to drop some weight. It may not be a huge deal now but it could seriously impact my health in the long run I think.Long Term Goal
