A Little About Me
5'8" on the button LOL, 217
Currently living in Florida, and working as a computer networking and fiber optics troubleshooting and installation techWhen I Started Working Out
senior year, high schoolHow I Started
due to a lot of external factors, including my own self conscious tendencies, hot girls, and just a craving to be big and strongWhy I Love It
It makes me feel better about myself, gets me more attention, makes me look better and feel powerfulHow I Stay Motivated
motivation is always there, I've never been without it, like I mentioned, it's those external factors that caused me to startMy Worst Injury
Luckily, I've never had anything real bad. I had a broken ankle, no surgery required, cast for 5 weeks, then I was doing heavy reps right after. I tore a tendon in my pinky finger, LOL, when I was 19, was told not to lift on it for a month, did anyway, ruptured it again. It was the flexor tendon, so I cannot grasp with it, but has never been a problem. It did cause me to shy away from hoops a bit though.
I Would Love To Meet
Off the top of my head, any interesting person. It's nice too when you meet someone who likes some of the same things you do. I like meeting people who like weights, powerlifting, and bodybuilding as much as me.
Goals
Main Goal
to be as happy as I can be, and to be the best I can beShort Term Goal
Right now I have my short term leg(squat) goal of a 585 for 1 squat. My short term bench goal is to just keep it comin'. In terms of physique, I like the way I look right now. There's always room for improvement though. I could lean up a bit but it doesn't worry me right now. No comp, and I think I look fine with my shirt off. Nice and big LOL. I've never competed but that might really be some fun some day. I have a friend who wants me to start competing in both powerlifting and bodybuilding.//////Let me update on that now if it's ok. I wrote that a while back, now it's Jan'09. I got that goal of 585 on the squat. When I weighed 245, sometime, early last spring or so, I did a routine that went, 135 8, 225 8, 315 8, 405 8, 495 7, 585 1. It wasn't my best workout, but I tried 585 for the hell of it (no spot) and got it. On my best days, I was consistantly getting 495 for 8. On those squats, I used a belt and knee wraps. I did not powerlift wrap though, just a light wrap. When I did that 585, I took it off, stood with it for 5-10 seconds, took a deep breath, descended (felt great), got to the bottom (said to myself LOL, "now put it up so you can tell your friends (as it was a life-long goal)," and began coming up with it. Coming up, for me, was ridiculously hard. I moved like two inches at a time, stopped, moved, stopped. I thought I had a hernia as well because of pain where ya don't wanna get it. At that point, I said to myself, "better put it up, 'cause ya got a hernia, at least take somethin' good, home." I did. The pain went away, saw a doc, no hernia, everything was peachy. Gosh I like talkin' LOL. Anyways, thank you, if you're interested. My short term goal is to enjoy myself, in life, and in training.Long Term Goal
To maintain what I have, and improve on it as well. I've found, I think, that with my upper body, I don't have the brute strength that some guys have. While my muscular development is decent, my bodyframe is small. For instance, I've seen guys with modest muscularity throwin' around weights that I use, on the bench press. Most of these guys have one thing in common, large bodyframes/bone structure. My bench right now is 3 sets of 8, with 315. My legs, on the other hand, are strong. Right now though, I don't go super heavy. I'm very content doing 4 sets of 8 with 405. Deep though, all the way down. Just being honest, the last set is tough, sometimes I only nail out 5. I've found that I like bodybuilding more than powerlifting. With all this said, it would be nice someday, to be able to handle 405 on the bench for 6-8, but if it never happens, I won't be surprised. But........I will try to do my best.Bodyfat Goal
Same as above. I don't like calipers. They always tell me I'm way less than what I really am though.Weight Goal

Why thank you! There's more to some people than meets the eye. Sometimes you just have to go for it and clear your own path.
