Since she was a toddler, Jennifer Rosen couldn’t contain her explosive energy or competitive spirit. As a 3-year-old, she began her foray into the world of USA gymnastics. Jennifer flipped her way to success on and off the mat. At the age of 12, she was the youngest competitor ever to compete in a fitness competition. Inspired by her parents and younger sister, Jennifer, now 23, is a personal trainer and fitness choreographer with experience that rivals professionals who are much older than her.

The winner of the 2004 Women’s Tri-Fitness Competition cites her drive to train hard and succeed as her major motivators. She typically trains 4-5 days per week, in 1.5 hour blocks that include cardio workouts. In the off season, she cuts sessions down to 3-4 days a week. Jennifer counts among her hobbies shopping, working out, and training at the obstacle course in Tampa.

Since her father owned a fitness gym in Tampa, you could say that fitness is all in the family for Jennifer and her two sisters (one older and one younger). Her gymnastics accomplishments include winning a USA State Championship and competing as a Level 10 gymnast. She was a varsity cheerleader and danced for six years. She currently puts her dance training to work as a fitness choreographer. Since it’s the New Year and resolutions abound, now is one of the times that people look to Jennifer for advice on how to stay fit. Her recommendations are to enjoy working out, try to be as healthy as you can, and get into the habit of doing some type of exercise. Jennifer’s own self-motivation and determination will certainly continue to serve her well in 2008.
