1. What two words best describe your build/physique/figure? Why?
Smooth and Classic. I have developed the package that could compete in Figure or Bodybuilding. Having done both multiple times, I know my body. I have the classic lines of femininity, hard muscles with definition, smooth, clean, Jan Tana-tinted skin and symmetry tying things together to complete a viable killer package.
2. What part of your body deserves to be honored in the “Physique Hall of Fame?” Why?
I absolutely love shoulders. I love working them, and I love seeing the progress of full muscle bellies of the shoulders. They have always been a hard part for me to gain, so I began to love working shoulders. I now, after the years, have gotten full bellies and have learned what works for me. So I would hope that I would have a set of awesome shoulders to be honored in the Hall of Fame. ☺
3. When did you first realize your body was sexy, appealing or exemplary?
. Oh, is it?! ☺ I still do not consider myself “sexy” or by any means exemplary. But I am confident with my body. I guess I first realized that I had a pretty nice thing going when I competed in 2006. I knew how to take care of my body, I knew the basics to make my way to the top and I knew that I had it in me to go somewhere. With that mindset and the body that I created, I guess I will say I was “appealing”… ☺
4. In the quiet moment before you begin a workout, what’s the first thing that goes through your mind? And what is the last thing that goes through your mind as you conclude a workout?
The first thing I think, “Alright, Stacy, you gotta do this and do it right. No playin’ around.” I do this for myself, but also for the 2 other guys I lift with. My husband and good friend. There is no room in the workout for a “girl,” so I have to change gears and “man up.” ☺ At the end, as I ease closer and closer to the flight of stairs in the distance, I see the scale and think, “Damn scale.”
5. Who is your physique/fitness idol or role model, and what body part would you steal from that person for a day?
As a beginner aspiring Figure girl, I admired Maggie Diubaldo for her leanness and killer abs. She is super tight and a beautiful woman who isn’t in the spotlight enough. As I read more and saw more show coverage, I began to adore the body of Figure Pro Danielle Hollenshade. She is absolutely beautiful, but her muscle was what I always imagined. I have since become good friends with her. As a starter bodybuilder, I now look to those like Kris Murrell and other local idols of mine. I love those female BBers that haven’t lost themselves…meaning the femininity of being a woman
6. Who or what inspires you to accept the daily challenge of building your physique/figure?
My motivation has always been my husband. As he trained for a competition, I listened. At first, I thought it was a bunch of junk. Why would I want to puke after squatting like 50 times? I just couldn’t understand. But he opened my eyes to the sport and taught me things along the way. After three years, we compete together, learn together and train together. He is always there to motivate me. Last year, I competed and he didn’t. We went through it all together, the whole time while planning our wedding. He kept my head up and my training top-notch. Hey, we’re still married. ☺
7. If someone wrote a book or song about your body, what would it be called?
An autobiography called, “Hope I Got it Right,” because I hope I got the formula right for the best body a girl can have.
8. Your name appears as an option on a restaurant menu, and you order the dish/beverage. What food/drink does the waiter deliver to your table?
Stacy’s Sexy Sloppy Hot Fudge Brownie Sundae with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream and warm wet Walnuts on a sizzling pan
9. What would a talking mirror say about your body if you stood naked in front of it?
Right now?! Not fair, ask me again when I am in full on-season mode ☺ (p.s. Right now, it would shake its head and walk away.)
10. If you received the ultimatum: workout or die— but your other favorite thing was simply too hard to resist— what is that one other thing you love (besides loved ones, family, friends, etc.) so much that you would actually choose it over your “final workout?”
This is totally make believe, so I will act out a day of my passions and guilty pleasures. I would wake up to pancakes with bacon and hot coffee, follow by a romp with the husband, a day of walking on the beach, soaking in the rays, eating succulent seafood and drinking nothing without an umbrella, enjoy to the fullest a warm, double chocolate chip brownie with warm wet walnuts and a squirt of whip cream, and finish the day with random places, just me and my husband, that’s all I need, the husband and me.
