- 1. What two words best describe your build/physique/figure? Why?
- Healthy and feminine. I’m proud to now have worked up to a fitness level that I can pound away at an hour-long interval session followed by weight training and still feel great. My body is lean but curvy at the same time. I’m quite pleased at the result of the hard work.
- 2. What part of your body deserves to be honored in the “Physique Hall of Fame?” Why?
- My legs. These babies literally stopped the uniformed officers' march in a St. Patty's Day parade one year. The best part is that I'm only 5'4.
- 3. When did you first realize your body was sexy, appealing or exemplary?
- • Sexy - When I was old enough to order a drink.
• Appealing - When I started to get fit and my girlfriends would squeeze my arms to feel the guns.
• Exemplary - When men and women tell me that I inspire them to get in better shape.
- 4. In the quiet moment before you begin a workout, what’s the first thing that goes through your mind? And what is the last thing that goes through your mind as you conclude a workout?
- On legs day, I tend to mentally curse like a sailor on the walk from my flat to the gym. Once I'm grinding away, there's that point where I get into "the zone" of my workout, where all I care about is beating the performance in my last workout. I'm slowing building the “Million-Dollar Body” one workout at a time, and I do it because it's a personal challenge, to see if I can do it. At the end of the workout, I'm outta gas and it's time to have a tasty protein shake.
- 5. Who is your physique/fitness idol or role model, and what body part would you steal from that person for a day?
- My fitness role models are many... Monica Brant-Peckham for her outstanding career/accomplishments. Jennifer Nicole Lee for her business acumen within the fitness industry. Nicole Costa and Jamie Eason for their beauty and sex appeal as fitness models. And the list goes on. What body part would I steal? I suffer from “Asian Butt Syndrome,” so I'll take any of these girls' butts any day. Now you know why I curse when I think of squats.
- 6. Who or what inspires you to accept the daily challenge of building your physique/figure?
- I went through a life overhaul when I chose to move from the US to Belgium for work. I moved to Brussels by myself and immersed myself into a completely different culture while managing a new job. To top it off, I decided to pursue a physical goal of competing in a physique show. Here was my opportunity to build myself into the person I always wanted to be - a worldly, successful woman who also happens to have a rockin' body. This is my goal for improving myself, and it's so satisfying to achieve this step by step.
- 7. If someone wrote a book or song about your body, what would it be called?
- "Don’t-Cha Wish Your Girlfriend Was Hot Like Me?"
- 8. Your name appears as an option on a restaurant menu, and you order the dish/beverage. What food/drink does the waiter deliver to your table?
- The "Natalie Minh" is an all-you-can-eat buffet with sushi, Vietnamese food, seafood, fruits, BBQ ribs, lamb chops, fried chicken, rice, milkshakes, and a bib. All this for $14.95. I'm in competition prep right now and slowly going out of my mind...
- 9. What would a talking mirror say about your body if you stood naked in front of it?
- "Homie, I cannot believe that I can see your abs. Lookin good! But I gotta tell you...you need a tan and it’s probably not going to happen now that you live in Brussels."
- 10. If you received the ultimatum: workout or die— but your other favorite thing was simply too hard to resist— what is that one other thing you love (besides loved ones, family, friends, etc.) so much that you would actually choose it over your “final workout?”
- The other thing would sadly have to be my Internet connection. I don't watch TV and I get all of my news and entertainment from the Internet. To add to that. I use Skype daily. Without it, I'd probably lose half of my friends and family in the States.
