- 1. What two words best describe your build/physique/figure? Why?
- Strong and sexy. I am muscular, but also all girl. I have great curves and have been compared to the mud flap girl silhouette :)
- 2. What part of your body deserves to be honored in the “Physique Hall of Fame?” Why?
- Definitely my abs! Fortunately, I am blessed with great genetics and keep a six-pack year round, and I have hipbones that stick out so it always draws attention on my "V" which, in my opinion, is very sexy on both men and women.
- 3. When did you first realize your body was sexy, appealing or exemplary?
- When I was 10, I was part of a private competitive swim team and I began developing noticeable musculature. I started getting comments from both boys and girls. I loved that look and how it felt to stand out from others. Swim team was what got me hooked, because although it was a team sport, it was very much about you as an individual. YOU would get out as much as YOU put in.
- 4. In the quiet moment before you begin a workout, what’s the first thing that goes through your mind? And what is the last thing that goes through your mind as you conclude a workout?
- I leave everything at the door. Training is my stress relief. I have ADD, so my mind is usually racing a mile a minute with all kinds of things. When I am training it is the only time that I have one thing on my mind and that is the focus on what I am training. The last thing that enters my mind is "Yippie, I made it through another one."
- 5. Who is your physique/fitness idol or role model, and what body part would you steal from that person for a day?
- My fitness role model is Monica Brandt-Peckham. She is the first competitor/model that I saw when I was looking at getting into the industry. She is shorter than I am, but with the same body frame as mine, so I admire and strive to look as great as she does. I can't narrow it down to the one body part that impresses me the most, because I think, as a whole, she is impressive.
- 6. Who or what inspires you to accept the daily challenge of building your physique/figure?
- My dad has always pushed me to push myself. He taught me to be humble and a team player, but also to give it my all and strive to be the best. He was a great role model for me growing up – always encouraging me to be athletic and coaching all my sports I was involved with. My dad was a pro racquetball player and has won several national championships. My proudest moment was at my last show – looking in the crowd and seeing him there, cheering for me. Then when I took a picture with my dad and my trophy, you could see that he was proud of me, which meant more to me than anything because he is the kind of person that doesn’t express his emotion.
- 7. If someone wrote a book or song about your body, what would it be called?
- "Miss Independent" and "Barbie Girl"
- 8. Your name appears as an option on a restaurant menu, and you order the dish/beverage. What food/drink does the waiter deliver to your table?
- Some kind of fish, because I LOVE seafood and fruit cocktail, because it is bright and colorful and sweet :) Absolut and water with lemon and lime to drink.
- 9. What would a talking mirror say about your body if you stood naked in front of it?
- “All that hard work is paying off, but we can still improve.”
- 10. If you received the ultimatum: workout or die— but your other favorite thing was simply too hard to resist— what is that one other thing you love (besides loved ones, family, friends, etc.) so much that you would actually choose it over your “final workout?”
- This is kind of a loaded question. For sure, I love my 3 doggies, Oscar my boy (Jack Russell) and Kyla and Nike my girls (Teacup Chihuahuas). But pedicures once a week are a must, and I love crème brûlée
