- 1. What two words best describe your build/physique/figure? Why?
- I describe my physique as a continual work in progress. I’ve come such a long way over the past year and a half. Never truly satisfied, I critique my physique on a daily basis – never looking at what I’ve accomplished, but what I’m lacking – which can be personally discouraging at times. I should listen to my friend who said, “Kat, you’re like a fine wine; just getting better with age.” LOL.
- 2. What part of your body deserves to be honored in the “Physique Hall of Fame?” Why?
- My back! It’s muscular and the most outstanding part of me. I get the most compliments on it, and I’m most amazed that men continually request my workouts and other tips regarding exactly how I got my back the way it is.
- 3. When did you first realize your body was sexy, appealing or exemplary?
- I’m still trying to be more comfortable in my “new skin.” I was 165 pounds and 40% BF. I am now 126.5 pounds and currently 8% BF. I was excited the day my abs came out! (I didn’t think that was possible at my age and after giving birth to 2 children.) Oh yeah, and when I was told, “WOW you have such a sexy back!” I hope he was referring to my back and not my butt, which would have been okay too! LOL.
- 4. In the quiet moment before you begin a workout, what’s the first thing that goes through your mind? And what is the last thing that goes through your mind as you conclude a workout?
- First thing: “EVERYONE, stay out of my way! I am on a mission!” : ) The last thing on my mind, as it always is after a workout: “I’m starving! Where’s my food?”
- 5. Who is your physique/fitness idol or role model, and what body part would you steal from that person for a day?
- Diana Dennis. She exudes both sexiness and femininity, while having a muscular, toned body. For lack of a better word, she is the “whole package.” She has a physique that I hope to attain one day. I can only dream.
- 6. Who or what inspires you to accept the daily challenge of building your physique/figure?
- The mirror always tells the truth and never lies. It’s faithful, trustworthy and precise. The continual changes and details that I have seen on my body are ever so slight – such as the vascularity that I am beginning to notice more and more.
- 7. If someone wrote a book or song about your body, what would it be called?
- ”War and Peace, Part Deux”
Bodybuilding to me is a battle of the mind and the body.
- 8. Your name appears as an option on a restaurant menu, and you order the dish/beverage. What food/drink does the waiter deliver to your table?
- ”The Katerina” Porterhouse Steak, baked potato and chocolate mousse; obviously, “The Katerina” would be a cheat meat!
- 9. What would a talking mirror say about your body if you stood naked in front of it?
- ”Kat, I know you’re tired and carb-depleted. Eat your second meal, go pump some iron and do YOUR CARDIO! I know you hate the ‘dread mill’ JUST DO IT!!!”
- 10. If you received the ultimatum: workout or die— but your other favorite thing was simply too hard to resist— what is that one other thing you love (besides loved ones, family, friends, etc.) so much that you would actually choose it over your “final workout?”
- Hmm, that’s tough. Well, if I couldn’t workout, my guilty pleasure would be a chocolate martini. I haven’t had one of those in a year, and I’d probably die because I haven’t had alcohol in all of that time. LOL.
