1. What two words best describe your build/physique/figure? Why?
Dedication and Living. I hear all the time: ”You’re young. You have no kids. That’s why you look like you do.” Yes, I am young. No, I don’t have children. But why should that make a difference in how you look? I know a lot of other females my age in my “situation” that don’t take care of themselves. Everyone has their own comfort level of how they want to look and, to an extent, how they want to feel. I am dedicated to exercise to relieve stress caused from everyday life. I am dedicated to exercise to look good in that bikini every summer. I am dedicated to making my life happier and that means helping my body to be healthier. I live the life I live because I choose it. I am active outdoors and constantly on the go, so I need a body that can keep up. I live my life so I can love every moment of life.
2. What part of your body deserves to be honored in the “Physique Hall of Fame?” Why?
My abs are what gets complimented most often. I am lucky enough to say that I have always had defined abs, but, depending on how much effort I put into the exercises, they continue to get more chiseled with each crunch.
3. When did you first realize your body was sexy, appealing or exemplary?
I noticed in high school when I was a cheerleader that I had strong legs – defined hamstrings and quads. I was one of the strongest cheerleaders on the squad, so I instantly became the person for popping up girls into basket tosses and holding in overhead lifts. Compliments from the football players and peers filtered in about how defined I was but that it wasn’t “over-the-top” and I still looked feminine. I loved it! What high school teenage girl wouldn’t? My senior year in high school I got recognized in the yearbook for “Best Body.”
4. In the quiet moment before you begin a workout, what’s the first thing that goes through your mind? And what is the last thing that goes through your mind as you conclude a workout?
Before a workout, I think, ”Breathe…relax…stop thinking about work and chill for awhile….this is your time.” I feel a sense of accomplishment when I leave the gym. By that point, I’ve pushed parts of my body to points they didn’t want to go initially but did. I’ve won the battle. Ha-ha! I’m relaxed and can think clearly, and I’m ready for the next challenge.
5. Who is your physique/fitness idol or role model, and what body part would you steal from that person for a day?
I think Jamie Eason is great. She’s got an awesome personality. I met her at the Arnold Classic a couple years ago, and she is so sweet and personable, very genuine. I would steal her legs. I’ve always had difficulty getting my calves sculpted. She’s got great legs.
6. Who or what inspires you to accept the daily challenge of building your physique/figure?
My family inspires me to accept the challenge of building my figure. I’ve been around active beautiful people my whole life with my family. I feel several members had and still do have the ability to be recognized for their physiques, because they have remained dedicated to exercising and maintaining healthy lifestyles. Seeing them motivates me to continue on.
7. If someone wrote a book or song about your body, what would it be called?
John Mayer already did! “Body is a Wonderland.” What people don’t realize is that the media got confused when they said he wrote it for Jennifer Love Hewitt. He wrote it for Jennifer Lynn Snider…me! We really need to let people know this…LOL.
8. Your name appears as an option on a restaurant menu, and you order the dish/beverage. What food/drink does the waiter deliver to your table?
An artichoke. It's spiky and hard to get into. Once you are able to get to the center, it's really soft and delicate.
9. What would a talking mirror say about your body if you stood naked in front of it?
”Not bad…not bad. Turn around…okay, okay….oh, wait….you ate that chocolate cake last night, didn’t you?”
10. If you received the ultimatum: workout or die— but your other favorite thing was simply too hard to resist— what is that one other thing you love (besides loved ones, family, friends, etc.) so much that you would actually choose it over your “final workout?”
MASSAGES!!! One and a half hours AT LEAST, please. Have you ever had a knot in your back that when the massage therapist rolls over it and presses into the center it hurts sooooo bad…but yet feels soooooo good? You want to hold your breath because the pain is almost unbearable, but you know you have to breathe out evenly in order for the knot to dissolve easier? Yeah, give me one of those massages…thanks. I’m always “mush” after a massage and so relaxed. I love that feeling.
