1. What two words best describe your build/physique/figure? Why?
Compact & Vascular. After years of trying to get "big" and hitting almost 230lbs, I realized that the numbers on the scale are not important. The total package appearance is. I compete at 170lbs.
2. What part of your body deserves to be honored in the “Physique Hall of Fame?” Why?
It used to be my chest, but in the last year of competing the focus has become my abs. You can have great size and definition, but without abs the whole package loses its appeal.
3. When did you first realize your body was sexy, appealing or exemplary?
When total strangers stop to compliment your muscles, or want to ask questions about fitness.
4. In the quiet moment before you begin a workout, what’s the first thing that goes through your mind? And what is the last thing that goes through your mind as you conclude a workout?
I think about my intensity level and focus. This is important to make the most of your time. At the end, I think, “Do I need one more set to get a better pump???” LOL.
5. Who is your physique/fitness idol or role model, and what body part would you steal from that person for a day?
Jay Cutler. I’ve watched him climb the ladder the last few years and achieve the pinnacle of the sport. I would steal his legs, but they would look funny on my body!
6. Who or what inspires you to accept the daily challenge of building your physique/figure?
To be at the top of my game, to stay focused in life in general.
7. If someone wrote a book or song about your body, what would it be called?
”The Journey of Sacrifice”
8. Your name appears as an option on a restaurant menu, and you order the dish/beverage. What food/drink does the waiter deliver to your table?
A tall, thick glass of MuscleMilk. I’ve consumed so much of that stuff over the years it may be in my DNA by now.
9. What would a talking mirror say about your body if you stood naked in front of it?
“Work on those calves!”
10. If you received the ultimatum: workout or die— but your other favorite thing was simply too hard to resist— what is that one other thing you love (besides loved ones, family, friends, etc.) so much that you would actually choose it over your “final workout?”
A big pile of money! If I were set for life financially, maybe I could “stop” working out, but, in my opinion, the gym helps keep the rest of life moving along.
