1. What two words best describe your build/physique/figure? Why?
Lean and symmetrical. My genetics for gaining mass in the off-season aren’t quiet what I’d like them to be, but I’ve never had any trouble losing body fat. During contest prep, I always tend to get “ahead of schedule,” as far as leanness is concerned. Symmetry, well, it’s easier to be balanced when you’re 5’8”, I guess, LOL.
2. What part of your body deserves to be honored in the “Physique Hall of Fame?” Why?
My back. When I diet down, my back always tends to be the most striated part of my body. I’ve heard my back referred to as being like an “Anatomy Chart.”
3. When did you first realize your body was sexy, appealing or exemplary?
Ha-ha! I’ve never considered myself sexy. I began weight training at the age of 13 and after three years of training, I had decided to go ahead and give competitive bodybuilding a try!
4. In the quiet moment before you begin a workout, what’s the first thing that goes through your mind? And what is the last thing that goes through your mind as you conclude a workout?
Before training, I tend to leave the daily frustrations at the gym door. I go in and focus on improving myself and letting any negativity be turned into a positive through training. At the end, I think, “Did I do everything I possibly could have done today to make that particular body part better?”
5. Who is your physique/fitness idol or role model, and what body part would you steal from that person for a day?
Rich Gaspari. I'd borrow his abs.
6. Who or what inspires you to accept the daily challenge of building your physique/figure?
Just taking the opportunity that I feel God has given me to do something positive with my life and, hopefully, to be a positive influence in other people’s lives through it as well.
7. If someone wrote a book or song about your body, what would it be called?
Rob Zombie’s “More Human than Human.” To me, to be in this industry takes a certain kind of person. Someone that reaches way down from within to keep on driving and doing what they do, even when other people may ridicule or not care. It’s almost a sense of being “Super Human” to pursue anything in this industry!
8. Your name appears as an option on a restaurant menu, and you order the dish/beverage. What food/drink does the waiter deliver to your table?
Coca-Cola. Why? Because I’m always “the real thing!”
9. What would a talking mirror say about your body if you stood naked in front of it?
“It must hurt to be built like that!”
10. If you received the ultimatum: workout or die— but your other favorite thing was simply too hard to resist— what is that one other thing you love (besides loved ones, family, friends, etc.) so much that you would actually choose it over your “final workout?”
A half gallon of Blue Bell Cookies ‘N’ Cream ice cream!
