1. What two words best describe your build/physique/figure? Why?
I would say compact muscle, because I look small when dressed in a lot of clothes, especially in the winter, but underneath is all muscle.
2. What part of your body deserves to be honored in the “Physique Hall of Fame?” Why?
My shoulders, because they get pumped and ripped so quickly, and I LOVE them! I hate wearing sleeves, because I hate to hide them. They are the first body part to “pop out” when I’m getting ready for a show.
3. When did you first realize your body was sexy, appealing or exemplary?
I realized it two years ago, when I saw how I could sculpt it with weights and proper nutrition, and people started asking me how they could have a body like mine!
4. In the quiet moment before you begin a workout, what’s the first thing that goes through your mind? And what is the last thing that goes through your mind as you conclude a workout?
The first thing I do is ask myself how strong I feel and prepare myself to get into that mind-body connection, so I can make it the best workout yet. At the end, I ask myself if I gave it my all or not and I try to be really honest with myself about that.
5. Who is your physique/fitness idol or role model, and what body part would you steal from that person for a day?
Davana Medina’s pictures inspired me when I first started training. As far as her body parts go, do I need to pick one part???
6. Who or what inspires you to accept the daily challenge of building your physique/figure?
I truly feel each day is such a gift. Our capabilities are endless, but not guaranteed. I thank God every morning for another day to be at my best, and then I try to strive to be better in every aspect of my life. I have not always been so fit and only recently realized that what we focus on is what we draw to us. My way of showing gratitude for this life is to try to do everything to the best of my ability, because once that moment is gone it’s gone. I don’t believe in “half-assing it.”
7. If someone wrote a book or song about your body, what would it be called?
“Strength and Beauty…Inside and Out” I’ve been through a lot during my life so far, and I realize that all those “tough” experiences only made me stronger. They have made me who I am today. My strength and beauty start from within.
8. Your name appears as an option on a restaurant menu, and you order the dish/beverage. What food/drink does the waiter deliver to your table?
Venison stew. A deer is an intelligent, beautiful, lean and strong animal. It has been described as too tough of a meat for some, but, if you know venison meat, you know that it is all in the handling of it and the preparation. If cooked correctly, it is divine and tender.
9. What would a talking mirror say about your body if you stood naked in front of it?
Besides how lucky it is to get to see me naked, it would say “if only they all knew what a wonderful heart is inside this strong muscled beauty.”
10. If you received the ultimatum: workout or die— but your other favorite thing was simply too hard to resist— what is that one other thing you love (besides loved ones, family, friends, etc.) so much that you would actually choose it over your “final workout?”
Living on a horse farm and riding horses every day!
