1. What two words best describe your build/physique/figure? Why?
Lean and muscular. I absolutely love weight training and enjoy carrying muscle, while at the same time staying lean year round for a more feminine, sexy physique.
2. What part of your body deserves to be honored in the “Physique Hall of Fame?” Why?
Though my biggest improvement has to be my legs these last few years, I get the most comments about my abs. When my abs are “in.” I feel on point with my physique, so I try to eat clean year round to maintain that.
3. When did you first realize your body was sexy, appealing or exemplary?
One day I was approached by a photographer when I was waitressing back when I was about 22. Though now I think the photos are awful, I remember looking at them at the time and was surprised to see I actually had sex appeal…or potential to be sexy! Ha! I’ve come a long way since then.
4. In the quiet moment before you begin a workout, what’s the first thing that goes through your mind? And what is the last thing that goes through your mind as you conclude a workout?
Every workout is important to me, whether I am in the off-season, getting ready for a competition, or for a photo shoot. I think about all the people I admire in this industry and how hard they work. I want to work harder, so I remind myself of that before anything I set out to do. At the end of a workout, I think about all the gains I just made and that I pushed myself to do it…no one else.
5. Who is your physique/fitness idol or role model, and what body part would you steal from that person for a day?
I’d have to say the very first role model for me in the fitness industry has to be Monica Brant. Her physique amazed me and she influenced me to start hitting the weights and sculpt my body. I wanted her legs, no doubt. I still squat for days and can’t seem to get her quads and glutes. LOL. I’m making progress though.
6. Who or what inspires you to accept the daily challenge of building your physique/figure?
I’m one of those crazy people who actually loves to train every day. I rarely take a day off. Not because I feel I “have to” train, I just always want to. My mind just isn’t right if I can’t throw weights around or go for a long run. My inspiration comes from my boyfriend who is well known and active in the fitness industry, as well as my employer BSN, which feeds me the best supplements in the world to look good!
7. If someone wrote a book or song about your body, what would it be called?
Oh, man, I don’t know…“Lean And Lovely!”
8. Your name appears as an option on a restaurant menu, and you order the dish/beverage. What food/drink does the waiter deliver to your table?
I’d have to say a big bowl of pasta and sauce. I grew up in an Italian household and my Dad’s a chef. I’m a happy camper with my pasta and red wine!
9. What would a talking mirror say about your body if you stood naked in front of it?
“Relax and eat something bad today...I dare you!!!” Haha!
10. If you received the ultimatum: workout or die— but your other favorite thing was simply too hard to resist— what is that one other thing you love (besides loved ones, family, friends, etc.) so much that you would actually choose it over your “final workout?”
I absolutely love animals and enjoy spending time with my boyfriend and our 2 dogs – a golden retriever and a basset hound. I could hang out with them all day. They are so awesome. I also grew up competing as an equestrian. My love for horses could very well win out over the workouts too if I had to choose.
