New Onixan Web Site Up. Check it Out!
Posted January 6th, 2009 by KermitI know, I know this has nothing to do with fitness/workouts. But just wanted to share where my time has been and why throughout the months/years I have not hit my fitness goal.
Well, for the past few years I and some of my studio mates have been working hard on our creator owned projects. They're not completed at the moment but neither is the website itself.
So for this year I wanted to post the web site as it stands so far and release the updates little by little.
Here's the Onixan link.-> http://www.onixan.com/

Holiday update
Posted December 26th, 2008 by ArbiterChronoIt has been far too long since I've updated this. A lot of things have been slipping lately. Mostly because of school, but it's also just a simple lack of discipline. I recently picked up a heavy resistance band, it's a pretty neat tool. I find it's good for warming up, and just an interesting way to hit the muscles. I'd say I've not improved much since my last post, but I have not atrophied much either. I'm having the most trouble getting out of bed on time (mostly because I'm going to bed late.) but as always, I'm working on it.

Brief Bio.
Posted December 23rd, 2008 by NateJamesThroughout High School I was active in Football, Wrestling, and Track & Field. I did really well in most sports I played, but as I ended my 9th grade year of High School my Wrestling coach sat me down to talk about College?
Holidays are Killers
Posted December 20th, 2008 by KermitSo with the holidays and pretty much going out almost every weekend to a Christmas party / get together. Eating right and work outs become less and less. So I was just wondering what do you guys do to gear yourself back up to workout. Or do you just go with the flow and just start a new page for the next year?
Nutrition/Eating Meat Question
Posted December 14th, 2008 by AshleyOkey, a couple of questions here. I've been vegetarian for almost 7 years now. I'm going to start eating meat again tomorrow. Now, firstly since I'll be eating meat again tomorrow I have no reason to lie, I have not eaten meant once since I went vegetarian. Okey, now since my body has gone so long without meat, will anything happen to my body when I start eating meat again, I'm gonna be picking up some frozen chicken fillets tomorrow so that's what I will start with. Should I start of slowly? Will it effect my body in anyway?
Honey... I'm home!
Posted December 12th, 2008 by AshleyHey, so, doesn't anyone have any thoughts on 'Honey', just normal natural plain 'Honey'. Was thinking about including it in my diet, just a teaspoon or tablespoon. I can't really stand the taste though, but today I added 1 teaspoon to my green tea and it tasted fine (in other words, I couldn't taste the honey, but it was there).
So yah, is it good for you?

Gym Memberships...
Posted November 30th, 2008 by AshleyHello!
How much does everyone here spend on going to the gym? Do you pay per session/weekly/monthly/yearly?
I usually pay per session, but the prices have gone up to £4.10 a session, and If I shall be making my way to the gym at least 6 times a week, I'm going to get a monthly membership for £36. As that makes it so much cheaper.
£4.10 = $6.20
£36 = $55.20
How does the cost of your gym compare?
My goal
Posted November 28th, 2008 by AshleyYo, so I'm not sure how many of you look into the forums, but I've been blogging my progress for about 4/5 weeks now, mainly been cutting fat while trying to maintain/build muscle.
What's everyone listening to?
Posted November 25th, 2008 by AshleyYo fellow MFT passengers, just curious, what's everyone listening to at the moment? Not just when you workout, but in general, any new albums that you just can't turn off?
I've just got Kanye Wests new album '808 & Heartbreak' - I must say, I think it's rather fantastic, I'm a huge Kanye West fan though. & The Killers latest album too, 'Day & Age' - it's definitely my favorite album of theirs to date, without a doubt.
What about you guys & gals?

Caffeine Pills + Cardio = Better or worse for fat loss?
Posted November 10th, 2008 by AshleyHey, just a quick question: I have some caffeine pills that contain 200mg caffeine per pill, I was wondering, for days when I wake up & am tired, would taking one pill before my cardio be okey? As I want to burn as much fat as possible, but I was thinking if I take a caffeine pill would I be using the energy for that or not?
Thanks =)
One Exercise Per Body Part | The Game
Posted November 6th, 2008 by AshleyOkey, so let's play a game.... I've done two similar blogs so far, first, your favorite protein shake flavour, then your favorite body part to work out.... Now...
You have been told that for the next 6 months you have to work your whole body three times a week, such as Mon, Wed and Fridays. Now you have to pick one exercise for each body part - no less, no more. You wont be able to change the exercises for the next 6 months, or skip a workout. So three times a week you must workout your whole body with the same training plan.

Food preparation & storing :)
Posted November 4th, 2008 by AshleyOkey, first of hope all is well. Now, I have much more free time in the evenings to prepare my foods, than in the mornings/day time. So, gonna make a list of what I would prefer to make before going to bed, to eat the next day.
Protein Pancakes - just like Jamos except no egg, just oats, whey, skimmed/low fat milk & egg whites. It would be much easier to make these the night before, so if I wanted to, could I, and then store them in a air tight container in the fridge over night, and heat them in the microwave in the morning?

Hmmm? What you think about this?
Posted November 4th, 2008 by AshleyOkey, so I got some soya protein mince from the health store today, I hadn't tried it before, it just looked like rubbery mince, it's vegetarian. So, nutritional information for 100g is:
330 kcals
50g protein
15g fibre
not sure on the carbs or fat, but there not so important since it's my last meal... Now, I wanted to have 50g, so I'd had 25g protein, 165 kcals and 7.5g fibre: However, to prepare, it says on the pack ....
