depends.. there have been
depends..
there have been some research on this topic, and practicly every one says that its best to do your workout around 7PM or so.. dont ask me why lol..
Although i have to admit, i do find myself having more concentration during the evenings..

I guess you didnt read any of the research then if you dont know why?
Quick 'i-search'
Link one. This mentions our lungs are on a cyclian 24-hour cycle and are weakest around noon, making it a bad time to workout, but those of us with strong lungs should see negligible differences in workout ability, regardless of timing
Link two. This article states the optimal time is around late afternoon, 3pm'ish. Saying that your hormones are primed around these hours leading to optimal fat loss. But in this article it also states that perhaps the best time is the one that is most conducive to you sticking to a workout regimen.
The simple fact is you need to train when its feasible and when you'll be able to focus the most. If for you this is after dinner, then do it, but if your asking whether to train before or after dinner for the sake of calories, do it before, that way your metabolism is at a higher rate for a longer period of the day before you go to bed. Plus, if you do it after dinner, you still need to drink a post workout shake anyhow, and thats pushing calories close to bed time. You need the postworkout shake though, so dont skip it!
