Tap Water Vs. Spring Water

What is everyones thoughts on this issue..everyday if im at school or at work and someone sees me filling up my liter water bottle with tap water from the bathroom sink or fountain they have some type of comment like after I drink this I might die..haha...what are alll you guys thoughts on this issue...I myself have no problem with tap water..im not dead yet..
