New To This World

I see that there isn't much happening in the teen section........ oh well.

I am totally new to all of this. I would love to get in a good shape and all but have no way about going at it. Also, I want to surprise people so I'm not telling them hahaha. I do not have any workout equipment at home sadly so thats another obstacle. Can anyone point me in the right direction and also give me some pointers in........ anything you think I should now. Like controlling my sweet tooth before I rip it out (if only it was that easy). Sorry is this is a really choppy/blurry/newbish post.

Takes..

Hard work, dedication, and probably most importantly: faith in yourself. (Mona Liza preaches this, and I believe it as well!!)
Hope you're still around. A lot of people dont realize we have the forums. We need to get them more active. Most activity seems to take place in blogging.

After awhile of working out

matt's picture

After awhile of working out and reading up on nutrition, I found that I started to simply not want to eat anything that was nutritionally empty (junk food). If it wasn't helping my body improve, it was a waste of money, because when you work out, you get hungry a lot and eat a lot. It gets expensive real fast eating stuff that isn't helping you at all (and is in fact hurting you).

great post

Hi, These are all great questions. Have you had a chance to check out the workout circuits? For a lot of the exercises, you don't need anything but an exercise ball. Some people have improvised dumbbells with 1 gal milk jugs filled with sand or water. I bet there are lots of common household items you could use to lift instead of dumbbells or powerblocks.

One thing a lot of people find (myself included) is that their sweet tooth diminishes quite a bit when they work out regularly. Whenever I am training regularly, I find that junk food and fast food just make me ill.

So check out the workout circuits: http://www.myfittribe.com/workout-circuits/jamcore-training The new me workouts are good for beginners.

Feel free to continue to post any questions or ideas you have. Great first post!!

Thanks

Oh..... I didn't see those. My computer doesn't like to cooperate with me. Thanks for the information. Especially about my sweet tooth. I try to look for improvements but it feels weird so I guess I have to get used to it. I feel like I can actually do this now!

I would agree with matt .

I would agree with matt . When you are determined to work out and pay attention to your nutrition you will soon realize that your body doesn't need "waste" . Bruce Lee once said that our body needs the right fuel just like machines , think about it . With this quote of Bruce Lee i started my work out program and i see tremendous results in my stamina and strength
