My stack - need advice
Hi all,
I'm looking for some educated advice on my supplement stack. I have been training on and off for past 6 months and ow plan to buckle down and get serious. The Ssupplements I currently use are as follows
From Vita Life:
Tribugain - 2x daily
Supper L-Carnitine - Two 2x daily
Stack Booster - Pre work out
Creatine monohydrate - 10g daily
Glutamine 10g daily
Omega 3 Fish oil - 2x daily
Ultra Slim Complex - two 2x daily
All Whey Protein 2x daily
Plus Multi Vits - daily
I have also research Cyclone and Animal Pump and would like to use this for training days as several of my friends swear by it. I plan to use the creatine/Whey Protein from vita life on none training days and would like advise on how to mix this up the rest of the supplements.
Many thanks in advance

I have tried the animal stack before: pak, cuts & one of the aminos (I forgot which one). I won't even lie. That stuff worked wonders for me in a very short time. Scared me to hell! But anyway, i'm keeping my sup intake really simple right now. I'd really like to get back on the pak though, at least for the additional aminos & vits/mins. I'm not too sure about the pump... the creatine & glutamine, I get from my protein.
My two cents.
Tribugain : I've never tried this product, nor have I ever heard of it. Quick research from the manufacturer's site says it helps with muscle growth, power, stamina, and recuperation. Sounds like the miracle pill lol and makes me wonder if it is not complete b.s. Further research shows that "Tribulus Terrestris" one of the two ingredients in this 'Tribugain' causes an increase in Testosterone, but this, one study showed only increased Testosterone levels if you were 'below normal' levels. Kudzu, the other ingredient, upon minor research, revealed that it is used in reducing hangovers and alcohol consumption. Neither of which are beneficial to training. I have never taken this product. It sounds, upon minor research, that I would not recommend this.
L-Carnitine : Carnitine in the "L" form, which is the only form usable to the body (as far as I know, or perhaps the best used by the body). Carnitine is used by cells to process fat and produce energy. This sounds like a winner to me. I think this sounds like a good supplement.
Creatine monohydrate : Definately in agreeance here. Creatine is found in many forms, but monohydrate is the cheapest by far, and seems to be the form primarily used in studies. So more is known about the effects of monohydrate than any other form. I would recommend, given a 10g dosage, that you take 5g somewhere between 30-45 minutes prior to your workout. And again immediately following your workout. I dont know if the body would use all 10g at once, and thus a waste. I use, and recommend, this product. I only use 5g post-workout, but others on this site use it pre-workout as well.
Glutamine : Not enough can be said about the great benefits of this amino acid. It is well known as a protein synthesizer, and also an anti-catabolic. So it prevents the break down of muscle. I use, and recommend this product. I take ~5g post-workout and I drink it in my water throughout the day.
Omega-3 Fish Oil : Definately. Fish oil, as a healthy fat, is very beneficial to the body. I take it to help with joint problems. Most of us are deficient in Omega3s, so this is a great source of it. I use, and recommend, this product. I take 3g per day. 1g (1 pill) in the morning, 1g mid-day, 1g at night
Ultra-Slim Complex : I have never used this product.
Whey Protein : Totally. We put un-normal amounts of stress on our muscles when we workout, so we need more protein than a 'normal amount' to help repair them! I use whey religiously, but don't overdo it. Some recommend 1.5-2g of whey per LB (pound) of body weight. I stay closer to 1.5g. We all know protein is insanely important in muscle building, so i wont go into detail :D. I use, and HIGHLY recommend this product for anyone that does any sort of body training.
Multi-vitamins : Again, definately. Most of us dont come remotely close to the daily recommended values of many many vitamins and minerals. Taking a multi-vitamin is definately a must in my honest opinion. We should take care of our bodies. As the Bible says, our body is a temple. I use, and HIGHLY recommend this product for everyone!
Disclaimer: I dont have a degree in anything yet, and I am far from a degree in anything fitness/nutrition related, but I do my fair share of research. I wont put anything into my body (knowingly), without researching it heavily first. I do, however, have a know-it-all brother, a twin, who is getting his degree. (lol, much love Will :D)

Quick question(s)..
I agree with the vits/mins & omega vits totally!! As a matter of fact, a few months ago I started using the Animal Pak vitamins from Ultimate Nutrition - & I "thought" it worked for me because I got results very quickly in the fat burning process & weight gaining as well. Plus, I truly felt energized! The thing is that now that i'm living in Canada, that shit is expensive as hell! & i'd rather not pay CAD$50 on a tub. So now i'm back to my GNC vits. But it doesn't seem to be balanced enough for me. What (brand) would you recommend?
Also, I read that flax is good for you in so many ways, but is lacking in some things compared to fish oils. What's your opinion?
It looks like you have a
It looks like you have a mixed set of goals there. You are taking pills and potions for cutting whilst taking on excess calories for bulking.
Fish oils and vits all good if you wanna go down the route, I myself would rather eat food. However, you are asking your body to undergo to dyametricaly opposed processes, one to lose fat and two to add extra weight on. Whilst not impossible its a great balancing act on a trip wire that all starts with you food consumption in the first place.
Whats your diet strategy and what are you taking in?
If you are in calorie surplus then you may as well knock the L'carnitine and ultra slim oin the head altho the latter is a good low fat source of calories (altho fruit is just as good).
I think you misunderstood
I think you misunderstood what I said above bro. What I actually meant was that the vits I used helped me in both weight gaining & fat burning. I never mix issues. Right now, i'm bulking. That's it! In terms of my caloric intake, i'm eating just about anything I can my hands on. I'll post my weight gaining diet on a blog. Please check it out & let me know what you think... I'm just looking for a more potent multi vits/min supp.
Thanks for your input
sorry ravinous gettin used
sorry ravinous gettin used to this forum format I was relying to eddie not yourself with my comments and you are a lucky sod if you can eat just about anything when on a bulk and not get fat, altho doesnt mean its nutritionaly good (then again everyone demonises sugar yet on a bulk it can be your friend when part of a balanced diet)
