Lose wieght and gain muscle?

Catapracht's picture

I am just going to get right to the point. I am 26 @6ft and am currently 251lbs. I have been hitting it hard since nine weeks ago with wieght training at the gym 5 days a week working out mostly my upper body and abs, allways finishing off with 20 minutes of cardio . I have an excellent diet that consist of high protien, lean meats and veggies. I eat 3 good meals a day and snack healthy in between. I have noticed gain in muscle in my arms and chest, lost wieght in my face, and my man boobs are going away. The only thing that is eating me up is that i have not dropped one pound. Nine weeks and not 1 pound? I know that I have put on muscle, but that much? Ive got to lose the fat... Any suggestions?

to be honest i think you ddi

to be honest i think you ddi lose a lot of fat..

since you say you most likely gained a lot of muscle. You should know that muscle is heavier then fat.. so gaining a lot of muscle means you should have lost even more fat!

However i do not think you can lose fat and gain muscle at the same time, atleast not when you have been training for a long time. I do think that this is possible for someone who just started out.

just stik with what youre doing and you'll be fine ;)

though i must say, if you realy want to lose fat.. increase youre cardio to a minimum of 30 minutes

no, 250 is pretty heavy for someone who is 6ft. I myself am about 5ft 10"

However i do think you will lower down in bodyweight eventually.. just keep up the good work, you'll do fine
