I've read many articles about taking L-Carnithine and says it really works burning fats and other many who says it doesn't work at all. Does anyone can say me if it works or is just simply a placebo.
I'm not too sure about carnithine, but I do know about L-Carnitine. At a basic, nutraceuticals level, it's good for heart, lung and circulatory processes. People are using it more and more for weight loss now. It transports the long-chain fatty acids to the mitochondria. It's actually naturally produced in our bodies, but when supplemented, aids in fat loss because the fat oxidation process is sped up. It also helps to inhibit lactic acid build up as well as lowering your cholesterol level. I've only ever heard good things about it (in liquid or pill form) and that it actually works, but it works at more a cellular level as opposed to the way stimulants work. Hope this helps!
