when i was about 6-8 years old i got kicked in both knees by a calf that was close to adult hood. i fell to the ground and try to get back up and fell like my legs gave out but the pain subsided. shortly after that i started to feel a pain in my right knee, the doc said to wear a sleev. a couple years later the pain came back but in both knees after i was runnin track at 16 for only 2-3 months. now i get pains when i am in the gym, i had to wear a strap on my knees but still cant lift super heavy on days i work out legs, and i only could do half squats and some routines i just cant do......any advise what could be the prob

hyperextension of your knees
Somethign that traumatic, especially while you're growing, I would say could have easily caused hyperextension of your knees, and now, your knees have sustained that hypermobility.
Physical therapists arent cheap, but for this especially, i would see one. You'l have to go through your physican first but it'll be well worth it. This affects your gait (or your walking pattern) and ultimately EVERYTHING you do in life. Your back problem could be associated with this easily! Because if your walk is abnormal, you could be favoring one side or the other, or if both are messed up a little, you might be compensating with your hamstring muscles so your knees dont hyperextend,... who knows, body is very complex.
I would defnitely see an orthopedic and have them get you physical therapy. .skip the primary care physician, they dont know enough about the anatomy. They might know enough to diagnosis, i doubt it, but even then, they're going to ultiamtely have to refer you to an Orthopedic then physical therapist. I would just see an orthopedic.
