Well i'd say.. go for jogging.

why? Because burning fat means burning more calories then you gain by eating and drinking. The fastest way to burn calories between walking and jogging is of course jogging.

Try to use cardio (like jogging) for 30-40 minutes tops AFTER your weight training workout. If you use Protein Shakes, take one BEFORE your cardio workout, this will most likely help you with maintaining your muscles and losing the fat.

good luck

hey thanks for replying
but i heard some where that when u jog or run u burn about 30% where if u where walking u would burn at about 50%, because while ur jogging or running u lose ur breathe more quickly and ur body has to work harder to burn that fat.
just want to know if that is right or not.
thanks again, joseph

yeah that does make sense as well, never thought of it like that. I just know that your heart rate goes up a lot faster while running which means your in zone, but like you heard you will tire out more faster. I also was told that once you go over 30 to 45 minutes of cardio of any type you start burning off muslce. So I'm not sure what would be the right answer. I bet one of Jamo's staff would be able to better assist the both of us. Everyone is different when it comes to loosing and building. I wish it was all the same thing. Good luck to ya.

yes, its true that lower

yes, its true that lower intensity training helps you to use more fat as energy for your workout.. HOWEVER! consider this:

Doing 1 hour of walking, burning 300 calories from which are 50% fat, meaning 150 calories.
Doing 1 hour jog, burning 600 calories from which are 30% fat, meaning 180 calories.

So, still if i were you i'd go for jogging.. forget the fatburning zone, as ,long as you can still talk properly. Burning fat means burning more calories then your daily intake, so your body needs to use it's reserves as energy. And yes, it might be possible to lose some muscle, but doing it after 30 to 45 minutes is nonesens. It all depends on how much calories you are eating, and how much of it consist of protein. Keep a high protein and low carb diet with 300 to 400 calories short of your daily needs will help you to burn fat because you burn more then you take in and will help you keep the muscle mass. Burning muscle mass only happens when your muscles don't recieve the amount of protein needed for them. Also, it might happen when you are to low on calories.

Remember, eating a little bit less then needed for you is good to burn fat, however, if you lower your calorie intake to much you body might want to hold on to the fat reserves and will most likely start burning muscle.

So, take a high protein diet, with low on carbs. Let's say 30% of your daily intake consisting of carbs, 55% of your daily intake of protein and 15% of fat, liek normal. This should be good enough to burn the fat while keeping your muscle. Also, when you are trying to burn fat for 2-3 months you could lower the carbs down to 20-25% over a 2 month period, while increasing the protein to 60-65%. But remember to keep your intake about 300-400 calories lower then your daily requirements.
