Can cooking 'kill' Whey?
Posted November 26th, 2008 by Steve_102
Hi all
After checking out the this awesome site I was looking forward to trying out the pancake recipes from Jamo and Nick (I have also posted this question on the video page). My question is whether you can in fact cook whey protein powder without any of the following things I have read (elsewhere) happening... :
"Whey protein is very heat sensitive and high temperatures will render the proteins unusable for anabolic processes. whey is manufactured at the lowest temperatures possible to prevent this."
"if you cook it you'll denature it."
Does anyone have any thoughts on whether this is true and whether cooking whey essentially 'kills it'?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Steve

Hey man....
If I was you, I would copy & paste your post into a blog and post it that way. Since not so many people look into the forum but everyone looks at the blogs; so you'll get a answer if you do that. To make a blog just click 'Blogs' in the top menu and you should see a 'Make a blog entry' click that and the post it.
If you can't see how to do it that way, look under the 'Welcome .... ' and click 'My User Menu' then a menu should pop up below, then click 'My Blog' then 'Make a blog entry' and you will get a reply then.
Hope that helps. & Welcome to MFT.
