Hey MFT Crew!

I found this bicep workout online and i was wondering whether it was a good routine or not?

haha yeah I saw this video a little while ago. I tried it out but I only have one adjustable barbell (the simple kind you put weight plates on), so doing the thing where you hold one arm up while you do reps with the other arm was a little difficult (had to hold plates in the palm of my hand). This got a little annoying so now I'm doing my own sort of routine.
Anyway, I think its a good routine if you have the right equipment. If you decide to do it, it would be really great if you keep us updated on your gains. Also, like it has already been mentioned, you should do the barbell curls while standing. I think that the guy who made the video wanted to prevent people from swinging the weight while standing so he made it seated. Stand, but make sure you lift the weight in a slow and very controlled manner (don't swing back and forth to lift the weight).

Seated Barbell Curls

Hey bro,
According to the video, the guy said that the reason why he did the seated barbell curls instead of standing is to ensure that his biceps has a "constant contraction" throughout the workout. Im not sure how helpfull a constant contraction is but i THINK it helps to build the peak of the biceps [most probably im wrong :)]. Anyway, im using this routine for my biceps, so we'll see what happens after a few months :)

YES, keep a constant

YES, keep a constant contraction on your biceps. This is definitely the right thing to do. You can do this if you stand too, but you can also lower the weight more. The greater the range of motion is (without losing the contraction) the better. If you're standing and doing a curl, you can lower the weight so that your arm is making a 165 degree angle (for example) and still be contracting the muscle. If you are sitting, the maximum angle your arm will make is 90 degrees. But try whatever you want and tell us the results after a few weeks!

The explaination fo the

The explaination fo the video says you will be doing three exercices:

- standing dumbell curls
- preacher curls
- seated barbell curls

These exercices are good, however i would not recomment doing the barbell curls seated. Because this lowers your range of motion, and with a bigger range of motion you are using more muscle fibers, meaning faster growth.

The advantage of doing barbell curls seated however is the possabillity of useing more weight.

Also, i would recomment doing the barbell curls first, because this is one of the most effective exercices to get bigger and stronger biceps. So when doing them first, you can use more weight.

Good Luck!
