What are your secrets to perfect abs (work out and diet)?

abs! my favorite!

For me, its all about hardcore diet and daily workout.

Just about every day I do abs excersizes (lately ive been doing 2 sets of 100 crunches, side crunches, or crunches while you're legs are raised (look at the Jamcore Training part of this site, then click on Men and watch the ab workout circuit for some good ab stuff). When working the abs its good to focus on having near-perfect form. You should use only your abs during a workout (i.e., don't pull on your neck with your arms, dont use your arms for momentum when coming up during a crunch, etc.). For each set, do reps until you feel the burn, then do a few more, then stop. You may want to try to do 5 more reps on the next set. The reason I say to do a few more, is because it is during that burning feeling that your ab muscles are beginning to split, which will make them grow. You want that burn to happen, however, don't push it too hard and get a hernia!

Running/Cardio is essential for abs. Run, run, run....jump rope, swim, play sports...w/e it takes to get your blood flowing and your heart beating and your skin all sweaty and you all disgusting and sweaty - its worth it!

Diet. This is so key. When you eat fat, burn it off with cardio or crunches. Eat vegetables, fruits, whole grains, vitamins, minerlas. DO NOT eat things like ice cream, cookies, nutter butters, oreo's....those kinds of things. Those should be considered biohazards when trying to lose weight around your stomach and get ripped abs.

ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING else you want to ask about getting abs, please feel free.

i'd say...diet 80% and

i'd say...diet 80% and workout 20%
low fat food, to keep the bodyfat down...

i dont think you need to do crazy ab workout, cause you use the abs to stabilize your body when you work out
but i have found that cable seated crunches are good...and decline reverse crunch...and im sure the Julien circuit is good as well... http://www.myfittribe.com/jamcoretraining/men/ab-workout-circuit.html
