2 CARB or not 2 CARB...my experience with low carb dieting - MR
Hi Guys - I wanna share some of my experience on the issues of low carb dieting to loose bodyfat with u guys, so I thought I am gonna start posting a little about it.
I have been dieting for my contest for about 6 weeks now. During this time I decided to go on a 5 day low carb (max 100gr per day) and moderate carb (increase on weekends to 200-250gr) diet. I also trained pretty intense during this time and did a brutal amount of cardio (90-120mins per day!) along with 2-3 super intense training sessions in High Intensity fashion. The results have been ok, I do however have come to a sticking point and decided to increase my carbs to 250-300 per day at the cost of lowering my protein intake again down to a maximum of 150gr. My fat intake is very low and comprised of healthy fats such as a few almonds and some EFA coming from Salmon. Cardio will also change to a more intense 30mins versus the long low intense 60mins sessions that now starting to really drain me. I am trying to shock my metabolism by doing this and hope to see some fast results as i only have 4 weeks left till the contest - I will be posting pics here weekly as well as on my website (incl V-clips!) that whill show me change - lets see how this higher carb approach measures up to the low carb one I was torturing myself with.
HIT HARD!

awesome!!!
I love the carb manipulation game. Regardless of whether it works for me yet, hahaha!! I haven't tried it for real this time yet. Im not going to until a little later just to see what works and what doesnt.
My morning cardio seems to be the tool weapon of mass construction for me :D

the same
I follow 2 days absloutly no carbs and one day of modrate carbs.. and by carbs i mean only oats and sweet potatos . it works really well for me. but i also read that u should do 5 days no carbs and one day with high carbs, i think it all depends on what works well for u.. by the way u look GR8! when is your show?

On target !!!
looking great bro ,,Nick Jones is in trouble
I think to many people
I think to many people change things up for the hell of it or are trying to find something else thats just not there...i tend to stick to real basic eating and use low intensity cardio to dial me in..Carbing up can be hit and miss as most people dont realise how low you have to be to really allow carbing up to work effectively. Another mistake i find people making is not drinking enough water which is a big mistake.
Will be interesting to see your results.
Below is a short video of me training just before my last show (Oct 2007) and at the end my routine from the show day.
