Fit Over 40!
I've been in fitness my entire life, in one respect or another...football, rugby, bodybuilding ect...I imagine most all of us have been. I've learned over the years that "less is more" when it comes to being truly healthy. When I was really serious about bodybuilding I was probably the least healthy I've ever been. I'm 44 now and I have found, over the last year, that the more relaxed about my fitness regimen, the more fit I actually become. Allowing myself some freedom when it comes to the food I eat, my training protocol and my overall attitude towards fitness has resulted in me feeling better at 44 than I did at 24. Was I bigger then?...maybe a little, am I as fast as I was then?...probably not but generally I've noticed that my "overall" fitness is much better. I guess what I'm trying to say is...if you are aging (well we all are) and want to stay healthy and fit, my suggestion would be to be more well rounded in your fitness endevours. I was so stuck on just lifting weights, but now I allow myself to do so much more and it's paying off in a more pleasing, athletic body that alows me to keep up with kids half my age. One thing you've noticed in my videos is that I am using www.vegasprostraps.com and www.weightvest.com to train with now. It is a refreshing departure from my normal gym routine. I guess my goal with this entry is to get you to consider being open to other ways of getting fit. We all have the things we enjoy and sometimes get stuck in that and never try anything new...get out and try something different and allow your body to be fully energized by different activities.
