Seated DB Press


Equipment and/or Primary Target:
Muscles Exercised: Side Deltoids, Front Deltoids

Coaching Points

Position dumbbells to each side of shoulders with elbows below wrists.

Press dumbbells until arms are extended overhead. Lower and repeat. Don't slouch while doing this exercise - maintain a neutral position. Don't let one arm drop below the other one.

I tried the Arnold press for the first time a week ago & I have to say that it's difficult to determine which one works better. The best thing about both of them though, is that it's all about the free weights!

Isolation

I think the Arnold press is just better at isolating your front delts.

I love dumbell presses but

I love dumbell presses but always felt like i got more out of the Arnold press. Where you start with palms facing you and twist on the way up.

Thats one of my favorite exercise too , it works your front delts like crazy ,definitely a winner !!!
