Labor day workout..

Woke up today feeling guilty that I have not had a workout in a few days. In my search for a new trainer and facility to work out at, I kind of let things slip by. Not to happen again, I can guarantee. Being it is Labor Day, I thought I had better call one of the gyms that I am a member at to see if they were open. The lady on the other end of the phone, tell me that they will be open for another 40 minutes. Wow, I had better get moving. 10 minutes to get there, and a quick warm up. The thought of weather or not I had time crossed my mind. But feeling guilty already for skipping a couple days, I had to try. I grabbed my water bottle, and a ABB speed shot from the fridge and I was on my way. 30 minutes to go before closing time. I jump on the treadmill for a quick five minutes, then to the stretching area for a Jamcore warm up. It was going to be chest day. Wasn't sure what I was going to do until I got there. It felt right so I headed over to the free weight area. To the flat bench for 4 sets of dumbbell flys. 15 reps each. With little time to do this, I made it a quick work out. After flys I sat upon the incline bench, and adjusted to just about 45 degrees for some incline presses. Did one set for 15 reps, then jumped to the ground for 15 pushups, holding at the bottom for 3 seconds. Why hold it ? I don't know, but it felt right. Keep the muscles under tension. Back to incline press, and to pushups again. 4 sets total. I have about 5 minutes left before they were going to close, so I hit the stretching area, for some abs with a Bosu ball. I hate using this thing, but it works so well in my opinion. Makes you have to keep your balance, as well as gives you a great stretch.

It might not have been the greatest workout that I have done, but I atleast made an effort to get something done, and didn't feel guilty about skipping another workout.

Many more posts to come, with diet, training etc. Stay tuned..

looking Phenomenal Greg!
