Odd Cravings
I was at Wal*Mart today getting a food item I have been craving insatiably for a few days now. It's not bad for me, I don't think. It's cauliflower. I've wanted veggies more than anything this past week. Raw, steamed, whatever. Forkfuls. No butter or salt added, I like 'em plain.
My body has definitely changed in regards to food. Ice cream drowning in chocolate sauce used to be my favorite snack. I had some last night, even, at my son's birthday party. I was somewhat disappointed at how 'bland' it tasted. So I didn't finish. I instead opted for my pasta salad. Before you get bent out of shape, I use whole grain pasta, vinaigrette and lotsa raw veggies. I do put pepperoni in there, but I picked it out.
Even fruit has fallen into the 'not so much' category, and if I am having it I want it to be a berry of some sort. Speaking of which, I'd like that blueberry pancake recipe. In the meantime I've used buckwheat and that was okay (gluten free). I don't put syrup on it anymore, just fresh berries or mashed bananas. I'm strange, but it's so tasty.
Last Saturday Josh (my husband) and I went out to dinner. I ordered grilled salmon and steamed veggies, and they brought a baked potato and banana nut bread too. I didn't finish those last two. Josh said he was going to tell on me for getting iced coffee instead of water, but then I didn't even drink half of it. I was drooling over this one dessert but I didn't get it. It looked dangerous.
So, week three (almost done!) shows that I can't eat 'full sized' meals anymore. I'm hungry more often, and I"m craving fresh food. Bonus? For some reason the produce is cheaper and lasts longer for my food budget than all that junk I used to buy.

Its amazing..
..what you can can learn , when you go healthy and clean your body . Processed food is so bad for the body and you only find out when you don't have and chose to eat healthy the eat it again .
I'm glad you feel good about your lifestyle change . Just keep it and you will see how much more your life will become .
