... what's a girl to do when she knows to lose the fat it is best to cardio on an empty stomach first thing in the morning ... yet to lift weights and build muscle to acelerate the fat loss she must also have eaten one hour prior to lifhting ... and i only wantto make one trip to the gym per day ... i'll be doing really good if i can get ther once a day ... so taking brakfast with me when do i eat it and where .? ... in the stinky locker room .? ... yucko , i hate eating enough as it is ... maybe i should just go out to my car ... but then i still need to brush my teeth ... and what about that one hour i'm supposed to wait prior to lifting .? ... what do i do with myself during that one hour .? ... i need answers to help with the "stick to it" part of the program ... just wondering what the rest of you do ....

And yes while eating right after is a good, I hear you about how dirty locker rooms etc.. can be.

Here is my suggestion and similar to what I do-

I take a shaker cup and put in some glutamine and protein (soy or whey) I also put some ground oats and a little honey. So after I workout simply add cold water shake it up and drink it.

This will give you the needed recovery but also buy you about 1-2 hours before you get a proper meal.

what kind of cardio ?

I was just recently told to start up some interval cardio, and to make sure I have had a good meal or two in me if I can. If I was to do the cardio first thing in the morning, I was told to make sure I atleast had taken some form of protein and BCAA's.

However, if I was to do cardio at a lower intensity (fat burning) level, just make sure that I get my meal in right afterwards.

... i ususally do have to

the Q's picture

... i ususally do have to eat as soon i i cardio on an empty stomach or else i get the shakes really bad from low blood sugar ... i do take l-glutamine each day to help with that but still a 45 minute workout on the stread mill or elipticle will delpete my reserves ... i'm just wondering what to do with myself during the hour i have to wait to lift weights .., or should i just not cardio on days to lift ... i feel like i'm wasting a trip to the gym if i dot do cardio ... i feel uncomfortable in a gym any way ... i usually work out at home but with any change you want to make , you have to get out of comfort zones sometimes to achieve goals ....

. . . . . . . milez of smilez, the Q

after weights...

I always do cardio after getting done with lifting. When I do legs, I give them a rest from the cardio. I would probably hurt myself if I tried. They feel like rubber when I am done. The days off of lifting is when I do intervals, otherwise it is low intensity cardio.
