Ravinous...
Hey Brian,
Thanks for the article. What was especially interesting for me was where you talked about that navy seal & the fact that he had to over-stuff himself. That seems to be the only way for me to gain, since i've been litterally gorging myself with food every single meal for the past 2-3 weeks. So far i've gained 11lbs (i'm now at 201lbs). Needless to say, I try to eat until it hurts just to walk!!
The other side of it is the training & resting. I've been training like a beast 3 days per week & I take much longer breaks in between each set so I can maintain the very heavy weights i'm attempting. Overtraining is a thing of the past - 3 exercises per body part, 3-4 sets each exercise, at least 2 mins rest between each set. Rest outside the gym... well, I try to get at least 6 hours per night, I get to sleep in 3 days each week since I work the other 4, but I go to bed fairly late since I have to cook for the next day - i'm trying to maintain a fairly clean diet of foods that are rich in cals; i've already changed up the ratio of carbs:protein:fat as you suggested.... So I think i'm making progress. By the way, take note of my name... lol
If I have any other questions, i'll be sure to ask. Thanks again for the article.
