Can anyone lend info/resources on how to develop 'hard' muscle? (techniques, methods, nutrition, etc) Is 'hard' muscle equivalent to lean muscle mass?

Ok here is how it works..

..to get that level of hardness . You need to really focus on the following

First : Your diet . Its has to be REALLY CLEAN ! i
Two : increase your cardio
Third (important) : Use Free weight and nothing but free weight and I tell you why ! In my years of training , when i mainly used them my physique , looked much more harder and denser on the stage then when I used machines . The reason free weights are better is because you recruit more muscle fibers compare to when you use machines and cables . cables and machines are still good to use , when you trying to shape up and isolate a body part . I hope I answered your question .

check 1,2,3!

i'm strict with my diet, i'm doing cardio 4 or 5 times a week and i actually don't use any machines (free weight, body weight). are there any lifting techniques that might help (isometrics, pausing at full contraction, speed of rep, duration of set, rest between sets, etc)?

Send me ..

..your diet and schedule please and Let me see what you doing . As far as techniques, drop sets and super sets is a quick way to get there pretty fast . All movements should be full contraction and the top of the movement and also on the negative phase (way down ) this is what I can think about . Send me some pics of what you have achieved so far and let's go from there .
