Let's talk! (New goals etc)

Ashley's picture

Hey, so I have a new goal:

Get in shape by September 2009.
I mean, by this time, I want visible abs, a defined chest, I want to have put on some lean muscle.

I'm gonna split this goal up into three parts:

Part one: Lose body fat (I'm not gonna try get a six pack now, just get a flat stomach)
Part two: Gain muscle as much as possible
Part three: Spend the last three months defining my muscles and cutting body fat.

So what do you think of this goal?

Tough time cutting cardio....

willbefit's picture

I am having such a hard time not getting out on the bike trails with the bike or hitting the stairmaster as I once was all the time. The show is not for about 8 months. The hard part of it all is losing sight of the abs that I have just began to see. I have always used that as a sign of accomplishment. If I quit the cardio, and keep eating like I have been, I picture myself losing the abs, therefore taking a step back. The trainers I have are a great bunch of people, that keep motivating me, and reminding me of the long term goal of the show.

How important is a diet for definition?

hammama's picture

I want more definition but I don't have a specific diet. I eat every 3 hours and I don't eat fast food or drink soda or juices or any sugar containing products (except for chocolate) will that get me where I want to be?

Thanks a lot to you all!

Not as sore, plus a video!

SithVixen's picture

My body seems to have caught up a little bit since my first week of training. No more soreness. YAY! That was the worst.

I haven't started lifting yet. But hopefully it won't be as bad. I'm working on some muscle development outside of weights by standing on one leg and trying to do stuff without falling over. That's just directed at karate, not actual tone or mass.

Hi Jamo,
Im new on the website, after seeing ur vids on youtube i thought this could really help me out loads. I'm a 17 year old rugby player, i have great aspirations to go pro too. at the mo im playing a international level. i was wondering if you could help me out by giving me a rough diet plan to get bigger but not fatter, and if possible to loose a bit of those unwanted flabby bits and get a stomach like urs! as u say its for the ladies :). It's getting harder and harder to keep up with the big boys around here!
I dont have a specific Training Program but it tend to be

Jamie Yu's picture

Hi Y'All,

I thought it was about time to blog a little something something, as of late all I have been doing is adding comments to other people blogs, throwing my 2 cents in here and there. Writing the odd article....

So wassup with me then as of late....(without being to self indulgent!)

Hey Everyone.

fmaxs's picture

So sorry I have been out of touch, please know that do stilll never miss a day of checking in to see what is at MFT. Just have not had time to blog.

But things are good on my end, no complaints. My training has really evolved to a place I love. I feel far more functional and healthy.

More soon, but to all my MFT pals, please hit me up, would love to hear from everyone.

Behind every great man....

Stevers's picture

Okay, so most of you saw this coming, or at least can predict the finisher for this quote.
I feel it is true! And I think this can be taken to mean a few things.

Behind every great man is a great woman.
Behind every great man is < a great spouse>.
Even so much as, behind every great man, is< a great mother (more loosely: Great parent(s)>

Regardless, this can be taken many ways, and I feel the idea is true that behind anyone that has done great things, and touched many people, are family and friends that have helped and supported them along the way.
