OMG! too busy this time of year! I worked so hard yesterday moving stuff and doing stuff for the new year. Got tons done and was so exhausted I came home and was IN THE BED by 8 P.M. ! I slept over 12 hours!
I am one of those "fix it and everyone" type of people that most all I have done has been to help everyone get it together for the new year. And it is going to be an INCREDIBLE school year I know. The kids are already pumped and ready and excited! That always helps!

Our reach REACHES OUT and REACHES IN....

I wrote in a blog once that we "never know how far our reach reaches." Sometimes, like yesterday, my reach reaches out from the past and then, reaches in to the present.

I have often said that many times the greatest difference comes when we least expect it. I really try to be mindful of what I say, how I say it, making my words sweet in case I have to swallow them someday. Words are like arrows and can tear someone apart as easily as they can build someone up.

I wrote this about this time last year. This is for anyone who needs a boost, a pick-me-up, feel good story. Go out and hug your moms and dads, your grandpas and grandmas...someday you will wish you still had them around.

I remembered how special I used to feel when I worked at a nursing home. I just thought I would share the story with ya'll.

I have been reading a book about the teachings of Buddhism. The author pointed out that when we continually speak ill of others aloud, and the people are not there to hear the comments, the only person absorbing the negativity and anger is OURSELVES. Wow!

I was just featured on a writing site as a feature writer. It was such an honor to be in the 'spot light.' I began to think about the word SIMPLICITY... which of course prompted this blog. When we are adults, we tend to get so caught up in the BIG PICTURE than we overlook the SIMPLE DETAILS. When we are children, we see everything so simple, so pure, so magical.

I recently visited a place I went to as a child and the first thing I noticed was how small the yard was. Funny, when I was a child the yard looked so big! the street...so far away...but then, as I grew up, I grew AWAY.

A friend forwarded this to me and said it reminded her of me.....I cried....

Let's see....on my birthday, I got a wonderful call from Jamo, got numerous emails, comments, and even a card in the mail from THE STATE FARM INSURANCE COMPANY. Since I already knew I would be alone on my birthday, I had planned to go to Wal-mart, buy me some of those helium balloons, and try to release them toward the lake behind the house while getting a one time camera chance. Well, it rained!!!

On every birthday, I have always set aside of time to reflect, to go inside and clean house.
Being mindful of all the wonderful blessings in my life, in these quiet times I find the things that matter the most are not 'things' at all. Just now I was thinking about the Buddhist proverb on my profile "to live and die without regret....." I wrote something I want to share with everyone.

Have you ever noticed on some women that they have lower back dimples? Some are more visible than others. Mine are quite profound. I decided to look it up to see what the deal was. Mine are very visible and can be seen very well at the end of my spine on either side above the tail bone.

Some people find them sexy from what I have read. Women who have a small enough back to show them off usually don't mind doing so. Some women sport tattoos between the dimples to call more attention to the area. But what causes them? and where do they come from? Are they only on certain ethnic persons?

Okay, guys and gals, I am excited today BECAUSE it marks three years since I began weight training.
I have lost 30 pounds and lost 45 inches all over my body. I am leaping tall buildings in a single bound!!!!
woo hoo!
A N D boys and girls, I will be 48 years old in TWO DAYS!!!!
I am ecstatic! I am enthusiastic!
I am feeling absolutely spectacular today! And loving this body I am creating with hard work, nutrition, and steel!

No doubt, I will always have a bubble butt...but I can live with that.

Okay, I am pleased. What can I say? All the hard work is beginning to show now. I cannot wait till next year LOL!
on the 22nd, it will be 3 years since I started weight training. I have been holding lately at 34--24--36....126 pounds.
So thumbs up! Told you all this was MY year!

Here it goes.....

On July 24th I will turn 48 years old. I am in better shape than I have ever been physically, mentally, emotionally.....

On August 27th, Kenny and I will celebrate 22 years together....actually, we have been together 22 and a half cause we lived in sin awhile.....oops.....ah, well....we are still together.

We never had any children of our own.....always knew we would or could adopt someday.

I should
tell you more often...
how I think of you,
recording each moment
to play them all
through.

I get so caught up
in the web of the day
