So for the last 6 weeks I was not able to work out ONCE. It's like as soon as my husband lost his job and our health insurance, my body gave me the middle finger. LOL

Rubicon Quest: 10/05/08

TriGuy's picture

This is the first follow-up since starting my quest. I wish I could say that everything has just gone smoothly and without a hitch, but I would be lieing.

I have been sick and I have been traveling a lot and working long hours. The hotel I stay at doesn't have as great of facilities as I thought. Most of the cables are broke on the universal machine, the life cycle doesn't work, the elliptical feels like I am falling forward and the treadmill says my speed is 5.5 when I know it is really about 3.5 to 3.7, because there is no way I can walk 5.5 mph. I have to run or jog at 4.0

Somebody explain this to me

TriGuy's picture

I've been on my "Rubicon Quest" for a week or so and I have dropped 3 pounds, but my body fat has gone UP 2%. WHAT'S WITH THAT????????????????

Now granted, I didn't eat as well as I should have, but I really haven't eaten as badly as I usually do? I didn't get in much in the way of workouts either because of my work and travel schedule.

But seriously, how is it I LOSE pounds, but gain FAT? I always try to weigh myself right after getting up in the morning and going to the bathroom. So I TRY to stay consisted with the the weigh-ins.

Someone PLEASE explain this to me!

Thanks!

Hey up everyone, I haven't been on here since mid august, had some bad new about my nan, and then shortly after she passed away, so I took a break from eating right, training etc.... Then mid September I moved to university, but I didn't like it so I have decided to take a gap year and go to a different university next year now.
Anyway so I'm gonna be making a few blogs about my goals, my plan etc!

Feels good to finally be back into it, gonna be starting tomorrow!

For me, it was in December 2005, I completed the Honolulu Marathon after being bedridden with a stomach flu the day before. 2 days before it started with chills, high fever, fatigue and overall dehydration. I remember crying WHILE throwing up as I thought about the months I had dedicated to training for this one day. And perhaps, all for nothing. I hadn't eaten, I couldn't ... since I didn't have an appetite and even if I did, I couldn't even hold a glass of ginger ale down. I never prayed so hard.

Fri, Oct 3rd... Inner lessons I"d like to share

Reading all the great news from my fellow MFTers, I felt compelled to update on my training progress where throwing the discus is concerned. But this comes in a partly negative form that i'm not completely proud of...

Yo, what up gang? How is everybody. The last 2 days I have been on fire. My resume is 99% done. Been asked to speak 3 more times on spirituality and the body. I have received a YES from M&F to start completing my article for them. Sometimes you just get in a zone...where all the energy and effort you put out comes back.

I love that man. When life gives you your efforts back!! The best...

Signing Off

willbefit's picture

It has come time for me to sign off. Not that I wish to, but with life's little hurdles continuing to get bigger and bigger, it is time to make some choices. I am going to miss coming here on a daily basis, but I have come to a point where I have to start a cost cutting mode. It looks like the internet is the next to get cut.

PHEW!!!! What a weekend....

As many of you know, some of us went to the Olympia to represent My Fit Tribe, capture some great interviews, film some new workouts and shoot with 2 of the best photographers: Jason Mathas and Stanley Lopez. It was an action packed weekend, fast-paced and on the go! I had to take a step back and take it all in as each and everyone of us worked diligently to provide all of you, our MFT Family, some quality stuff to share with those of you who visit this site regularly.
