What does it take to improve the quality of your life? Not near as much as you might think.
I once read a study that showed by reaching a moderate level of fitness, an individual could reduce his or her chance of dying from a sickness by almost 60 percent. Studies also show that a moderate level of fitness can significantly reduce the risk of heart failure (the No. 1 killer of Americans).
Some people think that obtaining a moderate level of fitness is too hard, too time consuming, or too costly, but it isn’t. Others think it is too late, but it’s not. You can reach a moderate level of fitness and improve the quality of your life by simply walking or taking an aerobics class three times a week. It won’t be long before you feel better, sleep better, and have more energy to work and play.
