Standing Shoulder Rolls
1. Stand with your feet hip width apart with your feet straight ahead. Have your arms relaxed by your side.
2. Roll your shoulders backwards, squeezing your shoulder blades together every time. 10x backwards.
3. Roll your shoulders forward, still squeezing your shoulder blades together every time they go back. 10x forward.
*Did you know that by doing postural exercises every day, it can effect your mood? Ever notice when you are in pain, upset or depressed you tend to close off not only your personality, but your body as well? Take a moment to open up... literally... Do your shoulder rolls, stand tall and proud!!

... as i struggle with back
... as i struggle with back pain this is an excellent exercise to help strengthen those bacl muscles ... thanks for posting this posture reminder , especially too since the proper posture is important for exercise ....
. . . . . . . milez of smilez, the Q
dont forget to strengthen
dont forget to strengthen you abdominal muscles if you have low back pain as well. If you have a lordotic posture your lower back muscles (erector spinae) are usually tight and your abdominals are usually weak. This is just one suggestion. Back pain is difficult to figure out because it can come from the quadratus lumborum to the multifidus muscle or even some discs or nerves that could be impinged. Just be careful and use proper body mechanics while doing exercises and lifting objects during your daily life as well.
Posture
yeah posture is one of the things it takes to have a quality life!! Thanks Amber! Michael T
