Here are some elements that are common in many of the routines:

  1. Stretching

5-10 minutes before and after working out, holding each stretch for at least 30 seconds

  1. Cardio

For Maximum Fat Loss:

30 minutes-1 hour of low to moderate intensity aerobic exercise, 3 days a week

30 minutes of higher intensity aerobic exercise, 2 days per week

Depending on what your fitness level and goals are, you may want to start out with about 30 minutes, 5-6 times per week. Some celebrities only do cardio 3 days a week for ½ hour, whereas others do cardio 7 days a week for 60 minutes or more. It’s been rumored that Jessica Simpson does three days a week of cardio and circuit training. Other stars such as Jessica Alba, do 45 minutes to one hour of cardio daily.

  1. Lunges and squats!

Many celebrities do lunges and squats as part of their workout. These are some the best exercises to target glutes and legs.

  1. Abs

Including exercises such as crunches and hanging leg raises help to flatten and strengthen the core muscles. Many celebrities such as Madonnna and Jessica Simpson also include Pilates in their workout routine.

  1. Weight Training

Most celebrities include some type of weight training in their routine. For a more sculpted look, many women celebrities do lighter weights and higher repetitions.

  1. Diet

Many fit celebrities reportedly choose a diet with a variety of unprocessed foods, often choosing organic options whenever possible. Oatmeal, fruit, vegetables, whole wheat breads, salad, chicken and fish are staples in many star’s diets.
